Raw materials and commodities by grade and specification
Record a material requirement by grade or specification (metals, resins, chemicals or industrial gases) with the volume, delivery point and dates.
Plan a bulk CO₂ supply →
Turn how much CO₂ you use into what suppliers quote on: cylinder, liquid cylinder, microbulk or bulk tank, how often each would be filled, the grade and documents, and a specification to send.
What it is for
A producer buys inputs by specification rather than brand: an alloy and temper, a resin grade and melt index, a chemical at a stated purity, a gas at a stated grade, delivered to a plant on a schedule. Smaller buyers often pay distributor prices or cannot reach producer quantities at all. This records the grade, form, volume and delivery terms so that where buyers cannot source at the scale or price they need can be studied.
Purchasing managers at manufacturers and processors, product developers buying trial quantities, and agents comparing supply for a plant.
What happens to a request
The material, grade and delivery terms are recorded as given. Nothing is bought, sold, held or shipped for you, no producer or distributor is contacted, and no price is quoted. If you leave a contact and a supplier of that grade can be identified, a reply may come; it is not promised. Contact details are stored apart from the requirement and deleted after 180 days.
What you get
A receipt with the request's identifier, the fields we could not match (a supplier, a price or a certificate is never supplied here), and a plain statement of what happens next.
Scope and limits
Anywhere; the delivery point and trade terms are recorded as stated.
- No material is held or sold; this records the requirement.
- Grades and standards are recorded as stated; equivalence between standards is not assessed.
- Hazardous, controlled and precursor chemicals are recorded only as a stated need and never acted on.
What you can specify
- material, grade and the standard it meets
- form and packaging (coil, sheet, pellet, drum, cylinder, bulk)
- volume per delivery or per month
- delivery point and trade terms
- delivery and storage mode (cylinder, microbulk, bulk tank) and the quality documents each delivery must carry
