Plan a bulk CO₂ supply

From how much CO₂ you use to what to ask suppliers for: which supply mode fits, how often it is filled, the grade and documents, and a specification to send.

Change anything; the plan updates as you type.

Your plan

44,092 lb of CO₂ a month

20 metric tonnes · 22 US tons · 385,421 standard cubic feet [1] · 1,449 lb a day on average

Bulk tank fits the limits you set.

How each supply mode works at this volume
Supply modeEach fillFills a monthEach fill lastsAgainst your limits
High-pressure cylinders50 lb 8820.8 hours Over (202.8 changes a week against your limit of 10)
Liquid cylinders (dewars)414 lb 1076.9 hours Over (24.5 changes a week against your limit of 10)
Microbulk tank750 lb 5912.4 hours Over (at least 58.8 deliveries a month against your limit of 8)
Bulk tank28,000 lb 1.619 days Fits (at least 1.6 deliveries a month against your limit of 8)

Fills a month assume each delivery fills an empty vessel, so they are the fewest possible; topping up earlier means more deliveries. Vessel sizes are typical ones [2][3][4][5]; set your supplier's below.

Grade and documents

Beverage grade: ISBT quality guidelines, CGA G-6.2 quality verification level G, H or I, 99.9% purity or more [6][7][8]

  • Certificate of analysis with each delivery
  • Statement that the product meets the ISBT guidelines and the CGA G-6.2 level

Chart's sizing guide pairs beverage carbonation at 10 to 25 tons a month with 14 to 30 ton bulk tanks [5].

Suppliers describe leased tanks under service agreements with refills scheduled from your usage [9], and remote level monitoring [10].

The material, grade and delivery terms are recorded as given. Nothing is bought, sold, held or shipped for you, no producer or distributor is contacted, and no price is quoted. If you leave a contact and a supplier of that grade can be identified, a reply may come; it is not promised. Contact details are stored apart from the requirement and deleted after 180 days.
