# Prepare a made-to-print RFQ

> Check what a shop needs to quote your part, see whether your lead-time stages fit your target, put the quotes you receive side by side on landed cost, and copy the RFQ text.

An interactive page at https://services.forevenza.com/machined-parts-rfq/. The same logic is available as data: GET https://services.forevenza.com/machined-parts-rfq/plan.json with any of these query parameters:

- `process` (CNC_MILLING, CNC_TURNING, INJECTION_MOLDING, SHEET_METAL, CASTING, ADDITIVE, PCB_FABRICATION, PCB_ASSEMBLY, OTHER), `material`, `tolerance`, `finish`, `qty`, `annual`, `breaks` (quantities, comma-separated)
- `target_days`, `partial` (yes, no), `inspect` (repeatable: fai, dim_report, sampling, mat_cert, coc), `certs`, `ship_to`, `exportc` (no, yes, unsure), `notes`, `target_price`
- `st_material`, `st_making`, `st_finishing`, `st_inspection`, `st_transit`, `st_buffer` (your stage estimates, days)
- `q1_name`, `q1_unit`, `q1_lead`, `q1_onetime`, `q1_extras`, `q1_ship`, `q1_tax` (and q2_, q3_): quotes you hold, to compare on landed cost

Worked example (500 CNC-milled 6061-T6 brackets, anodized, 28 days): 12 of 13 package items stated; stage estimates add to 30 days against 28. Every figure is the buyer's input; no price, shop or lead time is supplied.

To record the requirement, POST the plan's `envelope` (included in plan.json) as JSON to https://services.forevenza.com/contract-manufacturing/requests?via=machined-parts-rfq with { action, need, specifications, quantity, timing, geography, budget, requested_fields, contact }. Your request for quotation is recorded as described. No drawings are taken, nothing is quoted or ordered, and no shop is sent your part. If you leave a contact and a shop that runs this process at this volume can be identified, a reply may come; it is not promised. Do not send drawings here: confidential or export-controlled designs belong with a shop under your own agreement. Contact details are stored apart from the requirement and deleted after 180 days.

Drawings and CAD files are not accepted; describe the part in words.
